ZMQ partners with Zero Mothers Die – a global partnership initiative to reduce maternal mortality through the use of mobile technologies in the developing world. ZMQ is partnering with ZMD for taking MIRA channel to West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria and Mali). Along withe Pink Phones of ZMD, ZMQ’s MIRA Channel was launched in New York at UN Headquarters in New York at Women Leaders Forum during United Nations General Assembly week on 22nd Sept 2014. The event was attended by Mrs. Ban Ki Moon – wife of UN Secretary General, Mr. Michael Sidbe – Executive Director UNAIDS, Mrs. Cherie Blair – former First Lady of UK, , Dr. Christine Mwelwa Kaseba Sata – First Lady of Zambia, Mrs. Sylvia Bongo – First Lady of Gabon, Dr. Hamadoun Toure – Secretary General of International Telecommunication Union and many other dignitaries.
